[edit] 2007-Dec-27

I've added a page Meeting Template that can be used for future meeting pages, instead of stripping out content from previous meeting pages, it makes creating new meeting pages much quicker.

[edit] 2007-Nov-12

I've added a page RoomDonations to keep track of how much money we receive each month in donations to cover the room, and how much money we have available to us.

Wiki upgraded from 1.8.2 to 1.10.1 - flawless victory (It's a miracle). Major site facelift soon to come.

[edit] 2006-Nov-25

The wiki has received a much needed upgrade. The prospect of going straight from mediawiki-1.4.12 to 1.8.2 looked much too daunting. Instead, I took it to 1.6.8, then to 1.8.2. I also added an extension called ConfirmEdit which is a simple captcha mechanism requiring POSTers to solve a simple math problem. I've found it helpful in curbing spam. I ended up using an older version of it.

Backups of both the mysql database and 1.4.12 folder are in ~/mdf/. Problem reports can be added here or sent to Fostermarkd

I have moved the server to the Westin in Seattle, and everything seems to be working well. Something has happened to our logo, though! --Crash 22:30, 1 Apr 2006 (PST)

[edit] Fixed some problems from the upgrade
  • When I upgraded, I think I did a cp -r, instead of -R (which isnt valid, so it didn't pull subdirectories) and that messed up some things, most notably the edit tool-bar. Well, I couldn't live with that, so I had to go and fix things. That turned into breaking things, but with some work, things are fixed now again and see to be working well.
