Mailing Lists

These are various GSLUG mailing lists used for GSLUG announcements, general discussion, and organization. In addition to the lists, real-time communication takes place on Internet Relay Chat (IRC).

  • GSLUG-Announce
    • Announcements, very low volume, you should subscribe to this
  • GSLUG-General
    • The general GSLUG discussion list. Similar to the SLL list we've used in the past, more appropriate for GSLUG-specific questions and topics. Those interested in participating in the ongoing organization of the group can chat, discuss, etc.
  • Orgs
    • The old gslug-orgs mailing list was previously used for organizers only. To encourage more participation and transparency, all such discussions now occur on the GSLUG discussion list.


  • You may also be interested in the Seattle Linux List (SLL) on which many Linux topics are discussed. It is not a GSLUG list, but it is frequented by many GSLUGgers. It is hosted by SSC, the folks who publish Linux Journal.
